Hotter Buffalo Wing Sauce By: Anchor Bar
In 1964, Teressa Bellissimo created the very first “Buffalo wings” at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.
Made with cayenne peppers, vinegar, salt, and garlic, Anchor Bar “Hotter” Buffalo Wing Sauce turns up the heat on Teressa’s classic recipe. Unlike the Anchor Bar’s “Medium Recipe” (Original) Buffalo Wing Sauce, the “Hotter” recipe does not contain any liquid margarine, making it an excellent all-purpose hot sauce as well as a wing sauce. The bright, fruity cayenne peppers take center stage, backed by the garlic and salt - giving the sauce a bolder, more savory flavor than that of the Original. The vinegar brings a razor-sharp streak of acidity that brightens up the peppers’ flavor and amplifies the heat.
Anchor Bar “Hotter” Buffalo Wing Sauce clings perfectly to wings for a spicier take on the traditional recipe… or try adding it to seafood dishes, pizza, tacos, sauces and dips, or anywhere else you want a dash of cayenne pepper flavor and heat.
